We remove barriers to school attendance for children in remote Kenya — providing flip flops, shoes, backpacks, and scholarships so every child can learn and thrive.
Flip Flop Friends is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit committed to enhancing educational opportunities for children in remote western Kenya — the ancestral home of our founder Amy's family.
"Education shouldn't be a luxury. Together, we create opportunities, one child at a time."
We provide flip flops, shoes, book bags, and feminine hygiene products so every child can attend and stay in school. We also fund high school scholarships. 100% of donations go directly to the children.
Many children walk miles to school barefoot. Flip flops and shoes protect their feet and keep them coming back. We also supply backpacks and essential school materials.
Secondary school in Kenya isn't free. Our scholarships cover tuition for top students, opening doors to futures that would otherwise remain out of reach.
Without pads, many girls miss up to a week of school each month. We ensure girls can attend every day, all year long.
Beyond supplies, we build lasting infrastructure — constructing latrines and fire pits, painting classrooms, digging wells, and supporting agriculture and tree planting so communities can flourish for generations.
Volunteer your time or skills. Become an advocate or coordinator and help us reach more children across Kenya.
Rally your family, workplace, church, or school to raise funds. Every dollar goes directly to students in Kenya.
Follow us on social media and share our mission. Awareness is powerful — your network could change lives.
Join our annual trip to personally distribute supplies and witness the smiles your generosity creates.
