A somewhat spontaneous "Let me show you my country" (Amy), "Bucket list vacation" (Carl) turned into a life changer!

 

The mixed insights of Amy's familiarity and Carl's noticing-more-than-the scene-unfolds quickly turned the first major vacation of this budding relationship (They were married in mid 2016!) into a life-altering cause.  While the Kenyan countryside and culture is indeed wonderful to visit and emerge yourself in, the need for help and support of the country's youth is ever-present.  From the many orphanages, to the crowded and underfunded schools, Carl and Amy KNEW their drive and influence needed to do something to help.

 

Flip Flop Friends formally came into being in 2018, and the couple took 2016 off to get married, and 2017 to have their child, Kito, ... but, the drive to create some form of assistance never abated!
